Dear Argentine Federal family & friends: 

We are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our customers and team members.  We understand that the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is concerning and want to stress that, as we continue to closely monitor the situation, we’re also taking necessary precautions and preventive measures.

In light of current events affected by the outbreak, we wanted to let you know that the health and safety of our customers and employees are a top priority for Argentine Federal Savings.  We are being proactive in combating the potential spread of this virus.  

We believe it is our responsibility during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our customers, our employees, and our communities. We are actively monitoring the situation and will continue to make decisions based on the guidance of our local health officials and government leaders.

We have recently increased the frequency and level of cleaning at both offices and have taken additional precautionary steps to see that both offices are very thoroughly cleaned daily. 

We encourage our customers to utilize our online banking services accessible through our website at, or to download our iPhone and Android app from their respective app stores. If you have questions on the functions of these online tools, we have staff available by phone to assist you in making the experience as seamless as possible.

Customers can also utilize our ATM, come through our drive-thru, or call in for assistance if hesitant regarding coming in to the office.  The ATM and drive-thru customer contact points are being cleaned as well as interior customer contact points.  

We welcome you to come see us in person, although you may notice that we have implemented some necessary precautions in all person to person contact situations.  

We will limit physical contact including shaking of hands, requesting staff to wash their hands at least six times daily using very warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds, and requiring employees who are feeling unwell to stay home.

We are encouraging employees to take common sense health precautions recommended by the CDC, including, but not limited to washing their hands frequently, covering their mouths when coughing or sneezing, and limit touching their faces.  We are also encouraging employees to clean their workstations and phones daily using disinfectant cleaning wipes. 

 We are taking a phased response based on our evaluation of developing data regarding the current pandemic.  The primary objective of implementing our contingency plans are to enable Argentine Federal to provide ongoing services and support to our customers and to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees and their families.  Below is a detailed plan as to how we will handle a confirmed COVID-19 employee infection:

  • Initial Action – Infected employee(s) notifies their immediate supervisor, who then notifies the CEO.   
  • Notice(s) to Staff – The CEO will alert the office managers, who will then notify all staff regarding scheduling and the heightened cleanliness and hygiene recommendations.
  •  Personal Safety Concerns  Keeping the illness from spreading to other employees and customers is of utmost concern.  Upon being informed of a COVID-19 infection all employees will clean their workstations immediately (phone, keyboard, mouse, desk, desk handles, chairs, etc.) and the workstation of the employee(s) who are out with COVID-19.  We will enforce daily workstation cleaning and sanitization.  Cleaning wipes will be placed at employee workstation, and the frequent use of such will be strongly recommended (as often as after every contact with customers).  It will also be strongly recommended that employees frequently wash hands.  If the COVID-19 outbreak is severe enough the Association will require the use of masks, if masks are available.  
  •  Contact Affected Vendors –The Janitor would be asked to do a deep clean of both office locations upon initial COVID-19 infection disclosure.
  •  Further Assessment of Circumstances – An ongoing assessment will be implemented regarding staffing needs, increased cleaning, and so forth.
